The Venue

Central Hall will be the venue for the entire day: ceremony, reception and ceilidh. The hall is located in central Edinburgh, just a 10 minute walk from Princes Street and easy to get to via bus, taxi, or Uber.

The venue is up a large flight of stairs but there is also a lift for anyone with accesibility needs.

So, what does 'casual dress' really mean?

Dresscode

We want the day to be filled with colour and fun, and bring the summer vibes inside. Most importantly, we want everyone to be comfortable. If that means a little glam, wonderful. If that means one of those pyjama sets people wear in public, awesome! We're going for energy over aesthetic and we want everyone to feel good. One thing to keep in mind: ceilidhs can be a contact sport, so closed-toe shoes (or spare trainers/sneakers) are suggested. Some inspiration:

Where to stay

Hotels

For people travelling in from out of town, our venue is right in the centre of the city so there are ample hotels or rental properties available. We'd suggest the New Town or Old Town areas of the city for a classic Edinburgh tourist spot, the shorefront at Leith for a glimpse at our local life, or Bruntsfield and Stockbridge for cute local areas near the centre of town.
